The day started bright and early, or shall I say dark and early, as I began to get ready for a crazy never-ending adventure. I had a Skype conference at 6am, and then at 10 I raced off to get my phalanges manicured by the lead manicurist at Essie, my girl Rita. After lunch I changed into my outfit for the Mackage show, which I was stocked to have the opportunity to sit front row at (right next to Shenae Grimes, may I add). Designers Eran and Elisa told me that the collection was called “winter warrior”- inspired by the brutal weather conditions at fashion week, and a obvious need for fashionable outwear that won’t leave you frozen and then inevitably with a fever. Basically they don’t want you don’t end up like me. I’m all for a killer leather jacket and well-crafted Parka, so their FW2014 collection was right up my alley. After the show Uber saved my butt (like always) from walking in the rain without an umbrella and drove me and Julia to the after party, which was beyond amazing.
Seeing old friends, photographers and models from previous fashion weeks and shoots is honestly the best, most rewarding feeling. Hopefully this won’t be my last show and hopefully I get my hands on those amazing Frends headphones that the models wore on the runway..
