I’m getting old guys. It’s almost my 19th birthday, and naturally it appears I’m becoming an old lady and converting to midi dresses. Next week on classisinternal.com … how to knit your very own cat sweater!
I would have never imagined a year ago, that I would be wearing and loving midi-length dresses. One evening when I was working with Max Mara, they had me try on a midi dress that hit me right below the knee, and I fell in sheer love. Now obviously, anything Max Mara makes is bound to be perfection, but it opened up a door of opportunities for me to wear things other than diaper-esque dresses and rompers.
This outfit is the first in my campaign I’m shooting for ASOS, themed “what to wear to a friend’s wedding”, which is so fitting now that it’s summer and dem knots be getting tied left, right, and centre. I didn’t want to overpower the femininity of the dress with any jackets or loud shoes, so I stuck to neutrals.
All in all, midi dresses- get yourself one. They make you feel like the most put-together lady on the block, or if you’re like “eh, who wants to be a lady in this day and age?”, they look amazing with short booties also, giving you plenty of room to be the most badass lady on the block. Oh, but best of all, it’s so liberating to not have to worry about the wind blowing your short dress up. No shorts worn under this dress “just in case”…bring it on wind.
