But truly, it did all start here. I shot these photos in the park that I literally grew up in. At times it’s sickening to go back there because I’m reminded by the fact that I haven’t quite reached my goals yet; I’m still right where I started. Yet at the same time, it’s quite comforting to see that not everything has changed. I still have the same friends, same neighbourhood, same shops and shopkeepers surrounding me. Perhaps it’s necessary to have a stable place to go back to when you travel so often?
I have to admit a new obsession of mine to you guys- Mackage. The designers Eran Elfassy & Elisa Dahan created the V-Shaped collar almost a decade ago, but embarrassingly enough, throughout all my years I have never owned a “real” winter jacket before. I used to go outside in -30 degrees in leather jackets, pea coats, and things of that sort. Needless to say, every winter I would come home with frostbites that not even time could de-freeze, and I’d always be that annoying friend that wants to go home already because I was frozen to death. I was missing out on life, I swear. It is five thousand percent worth it to invest in a “real” winter puffer jacket, because every day when I go outside I am still in disbelief that I’m not cold. If you’re crazy stubborn like me and refuse to admit that winter calls for a warm, quality coat, then let me inspire you with this stunning coat and this one I posted to instagram earlier last week. So much love for you, Mackage.
Still have no idea where I’m headed to next, but something tells me I’ll be at the airport soon. It’s overwhelming at times, trying to absorb and learn from how much has happened in such a short amount of time. I feel it’s almost inescapable, with no solution. It just is. It is what it is, it was what it was.
