Lucky double denim.

What’s a day in Venice Beach without Abbot Kinney strolling, the mystic bookshop, accidentally bumping into dozens of friends, and ending it all in the sand watching the sunset?

In true 90’s fashion, I pulled a denim-on- denim stunt yesterday for a day with my friend Kristina before heading to my nightly music classes. I’m so happy to announce that I’ve been appointed as a Lucky Insider with Lucky Brand, which still excites every nerve in my body, reminiscing on how I used to spend hours in their stores while I still lived in a very frozen Canada; dreaming of a bohemian paradise. Truth be told, I haven’t worn true skinny jeans in a year, but these jeans felt like a second skin, and they were actually high-rise enough for me. Am I the only one who won’t wear jeans unless they nearly touch my belly button? Leg lengthening brought to you in form of denim- yes, please!

I paired their Bridgette Skinny jean with this stunning Lucky Brand denim jacket in an oversized fit and floral detailing. The slight difference in denim shades makes the risky fashion choice work seamlessly- so if you want to try denim-on- denim, make sure you’re working with two different colors of denim.

Thank you to Lucky Brand for partnering with me on this post.
